Secrets, Recording Time and UI Emerging

Pretty productive week! I finally got the secrets system working, which means the game now remembers what you’ve found and what you’ve missed. It ties nicely into the save/load work I did — saves now store level times, secrets, and other progress bits.

I also added level timing, so the game tracks how long you take to finish each stage. It’s a small thing, but it opens the door to speedrun modes, medals, and other fun stuff later.

I now have timings on the HUD working

UI is about halfway done now. It’s not pretty everywhere yet, but it’s functional, and it’s starting to make the whole project feel more like a real game.

Bonus Update

The site indexing with Bing, it looks like I'm getting ignored. I need to have another look at that.

Next week I need to go back and fix the double jump. It works… until it doesn’t. So that’s on the todo list.
